What is an NPC?
An NPC is one of those characters you see with a tag under them with their name in yellow. NPC stands for Non-Player Controlled. Although monsters are not controlled by players, we typically call them monsters instead, because you wouldn't want someone to say "go kill that NPC!" rather, "go kill that monster, and then talk to that NPC over there.", makes more sense.
